4. Description: The awarding authority is seeking a competent and experienced supply chain to deliver periodic Drone/UAV survey services across the Main Development Site (MCA) and Offsite Infrastructure.
The scope includes:
Weekly surveys of the MCA,
Monthly surveys of all other sites during construction.
Drone operations will be required as a minimum for the duration of the construction period to support project monitoring and delivery.
Sizewell C require a contractor to undertake weekly/monthly drone/ Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) surveys within the main works area. Each period, the drone will execute the agreed IAP (Image Acquisition Plan) in autonomous flight mode, where possible, and fly a series of strips, capturing nadir-orientation RGB photographs of the site. The survey manager will instruct the works and the flights will be at a pre agreed regular schedule. This scope includes the production of the following deliverables using photogrammetry software following each flight, with all deliverables to be issued to Teamcenter:
2cm Orthophotos for input to CIRRUSinsite.
Photogrammetrically derived, colourised Point Cloud in LAZ format, classified into ground/non-ground to enable production of Digital Surface and Digital Terrain Models.
5cm Orthophotos site wide for input to SZC GIS platform.
10cm Orthophotos site wide for input in AutoCadMap or Civil 3D.
Low resolution JPEG CAD bounding box for AutoCAD.
AutoCAD Drawing containing the 10cm Ortho.
Rapid low-resolution PDF for post-flight coverage update. For information only.
Survey (Aerial Triangulation) Report.
3D Reality Mesh in SLPK and 3SM format for the SZC GIS platform.
The monthly drone surveys should utilise the Primary Survey Network positions. The products will be delivered in OSGB36 (OSTN15/GM15) and Site Local grids and the weekly drone surveys in the MCA area.
