4. Description: Within the Single Living Accommodation (SLA) blocks at HMNB Clyde, domestic grade washing machines and tumble dryers are installed within each kitchen facility.

In addition, washing machines and tumble dryers are also installed in the General Services Building and the Northern Diving Group building.

Initially this new contract will require maintenance and repair for approx.700 installed machines from various manufacturers, Hoover, Candy, Whirlpool, Indesit, Hotpoint and Zanussi.

The initial contract will be required to cover 3 areas, over a three-year period with 2 x 1 option years to extend.

An engineer is required to attend site once a week over 52 weeks a year and initially repair a maximum of 16 machines per service.

Over the next three years in line with projected expansion, capacity for repairs and maintenance will increase up to a total of 900 machines, rising from 16 repairs per week to 24 per week by the end of the initial 3-year contract period.

Security clearance and sole UK Nationality will be required.
