Maritime Equipment Systems has a future requirement for the supply, manufacture, installation, set-to-work and provision of associated technical assistance services for the replacement of the hangar door motor and gearbox assemblies fitted to the class of thirteen (13) Royal Navy Type 23 frigates. The requirement is to design, manufacture and/or use existing CoTs products for the supply and installation of replacement hangar door motors and gearboxes which will integrate with the existing structural, mechanical and electrical interfaces in order to operate the “as-fitted” hangar roller shutter door. Further, potential contractors will be required to identify options for the replacement of the roller shutter door.The contractor will be required to provide additional project, support, logistics, training, documentation, codification, disposal and safety management services for the duration of the contract and for continued Post Design Services (PDS) support following completion of installation.Suppliers wishing to express an interest in this requirement are required to:a)Submit a copy of their accredited 3rd Party (or Government Issued) Quality Management System (QMS) certification which includes an appropiate scope to meet the requirement. In the event that no certification is held, the company must be able to demonstrate that they operate and maintain a QMS acceptable to the Department for this requirement.b)Confirm that they are willing or able to trade electronically using the Purchase to Payment (P2P) business process.Companies who submit an Expression of Interest will be required to complete and submit a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire to confirm their suitability to be included in the tender panel for this requirement. The Authority’s decision in this matter will be final.
