A pipeline has been launched for Framework for the supply of metalThe contract start Date is 02 January 2018. Approach to market date is 27 September 2017The Ministry of Justice (MoJ), operating on behalf of its agency HM Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS), intends to contract with suppliers a Framework for the supply of metals, into the Public Sector Prison Industry workshops located around the prison establishment. The MoJ seeks to contract with suppliers who can deliver value for money for the taxpayer, is target driven, and can ensure they can comply with the specified quality and legal standards. Although the MoJ is the contracting Client of the Raw Material, the end users will be the Public Sector Prison Industries (PSPI).These requirements will be delivered through a framework agreement that will consist of 5 lots covering, non-ferrous, steel sheet, steel welded mesh, bar, structural hollow section, and ERW over a duration of 4 years. Delivered to a minimum of 13 PSPI workshops. This is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly. When a public sector organisation publishes a pipeline notice, it does not necessarily mean that an opportunity will be offered in the future. For more information contact: Ministry of Justice, Harcourt House, Chancellor Court, 21 The Calls, Leeds LS2 7EH.
