Babcock International Group (Babcock), the defence company, is showcasing its new immersive training platform in Poland at MSPO in September.
The Babcock Immersive Training Experience (BITE) creates an authentic, high stress environment where trainees are exposed to operationally accurate soundscapes, seismic simulation, visual stimuli and generated aromas.
These high-intensity, easily repeated scenarios are conducted in a safe to fail environment which speeds up the learning process while reducing the burden on equipment and resources – making BITE a vital asset during a period of instability.
Biometric data is captured during exercises to provide live insights, maximising learning experience and analysis – all while bridging the gap between the sterile classroom environment and complex live operations.
BITE’s robust, modular, and mobile construction allows the system to be deployed across any environment, ideally suiting it to a range of Eastern Flank customers working across defence and resilience domains.
Jo Rayson, Managing Director, Training at Babcock, said: “BITE takes users closer to the realism of front line operations than ever before.
“At a time where the threat of war, natural disasters and geopolitical instability is constant, BITE provides operational commanders and specialists with a state-of-the-art training platform to prepare people for action – backed up with world class in-service support.
“We’re delighted with the overwhelmingly positive feedback BITE received when we showcased it at I2TEC in London earlier this year – and we’re looking forward to attending MSPO to demonstrate its game-changing training capability.”
