The Defence and Security Accelerator has launched ‘The Ideas Marketplace’, a platform offering opportunities for defence and security organisations to network with government, innovators, industry and academia.
The ultimate goal of the Ideas Marketplace is to support the creation of successful innovations to overcome defence and security challenges in the UK, alongside promoting government objectives of increasing SMEs within the supply chain and increasing economic value within the UK.
DSA has launched Ideas Marketplace as an online collaboration platform offering opportunities for innovative defence and security organisations to network and collaborate with government stakeholders, end users, innovators, industry and academia. The platform can be used to forge new relationships and foster collaboration between dynamic organisations of all shapes and sizes.
The Ideas Marketplace community includes the following organisations:
- Army Innovation Hub: The Army Research, Innovation and Experimentation Laboratory (ARIEL)
- The Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA)
- DE&S Future Capabilities Group (FCG)
- Regional Defence and Security Clusters
- jHub & jHub digital
- Royal Navy Innovation Hub: NavyX, NELSON, MarWorks, DARE and OCTO.
- Royal Air Force Innovation Hub: RAFX
- UK Space Command
The Ideas Marketplace is designed to help users seek out partnerships and collaborations with organisations that can help develop their innovation, identify new funding opportunities, receive help to understand the market for an idea and help to build the business behind it and engage with industry leaders to learn more about the defence and security landscape.
The platform has been designed to enable collaboration with other innovators across the UK and to help organisations gain expertise and specialist support to develop their technologies to make them successful.
