Development and implementation of DIANA’s acceleration programme curriculum.
The purpose of this opportunity is to award a contract for the development and implementation of DIANA’s acceleration programme curriculum to develop and implement its deep tech dual-use acceleration programme in close collaboration with selected national operators.
DIANA will bring agility and flexibility to the way NATO engages with innovators, and will seek commercially focused technological breakthroughs to solve defence and security problems.
DIANA will leverage a network of more than 10 accelerator sites and more than 50 test centres in innovation hubs across NATO, with a specialisation in artificial intelligence, autonomy, biotechnologies and human enhancement, quantum technologies, nanotechnologies, novel materials, and space technologies.
DIANA will begin pilot activities as early as April 2023. Once fully operational in 2025, DIANA will have the capacity to interact with hundreds of innovators each year across an even wider network of Accelerator sites and Test Centres across the Alliance.
To be eligible to participate in the bidding process, bidders must:
be from one of the NATO member nations
have at least 5 years’ experience in developing and/or implementing and running acceleration programmes in Europe and North America
have an in-depth understanding of the European and North American innovation ecosystem
possess in depth understanding of the particularities of the defence and security ecosystem
have a sound financial and legal standing and sufficient capacity and resources to provide the services specified in the statement of work
be otherwise qualified and eligible to receive an award under applicable regulations
Proposals are due on 16 December 2022, at 12:00 (Brussels time).
Final selection and contract award is expected at the beginning of February 2023.
