Shared Services Connected Ltd (SSCL) has been awarded the Royal Navy’s Admiralty Interview Board contract to assess potential officer candidates for the next three years.

Beginning on 28 November 2022, the three-year contract will see SSCL deploy innovative digital technology to accelerate recruitment decision-making and optimise candidate experience for thousands of applicants per year.

This contract win builds on the company’s strong record of improving time to hire when delivering volume and complex recruitment campaigns for other public sector clients.

SSCL is a joint venture between the UK Government Cabinet Office and Sopra Steria and has a strong record in delivering innovative assessment and resourcing solutions, which combine an experienced assessor team with digital tech solutions.

SSCL’s Resourcing Services Managing Director David Parsons said: “We are all incredibly pleased to win this contract and look forward to working with the Royal Navy to recruit the next generation of officers helping to defend our nation.

“The Admiralty Interview Board rightly demands the highest quality candidates for their roles and in SSCL we have the experienced assessors and innovative tools to ensure we’re selecting the best people for them.”

Captain Stephanie Pearmain, Head of Royal Navy Recruitment and Attraction, said: “We are looking forward to introducing a new assessment process for Royal Navy Officer selection which will ensure we continue to select the highest calibre of candidates for a future generation of service.”

The contract period runs from 28 November 2022 until 31 March 2025, with the option to extend for one year until 31 March 2026.
