About the work
Early market engagement
Who the specialist will work with Civilian, Military and contractors within the MOD and wider Defence industry.
What the specialist will work on Working with the Project Team (PT) and the MM Contractor to develop and finalise the system design.
Liaise with the PT, MM Contractor and external stakeholders throughout the Delivery Phase (DP) until Initial Operating Capability (IOC) is achieved.
Report to the Project Lead on progress and report risks and issues appropriately.
Lead the identification of appropriate boundary protection products required for MM and liaise with the MM Contractor to ensure successful integration.
Act as the MM PT lead during design reviews and work with the MM Contractor to develop system design documentation to enable system accreditation.
Work setup
Working arrangements: Hybrid working with Ministry of Defence in Corsham as a base location, with a minimum of two days home working. Some travel to other MOD sites as required. Locations can be provided at a higher classification.

Essential skills and experience
Design of Formal messaging systems; Provide examples which demonstrate; knowledge and understanding of formal messaging systems, and ability to be a Project Team Architecture lead during the design process. 20%
SECRET, TS/STRAP Solution Architect; Provide examples of working as an architecture lead for a team in the design process of a Secret and TS/STRAP IT system. 20%
Architectural documentation; Demonstrate your experience by giving at least two examples of producing (independently and in liaison with third parties) reviewing system design documentation whilst in an Architect role. 15%
Messaging Formats and Standards Demonstrate knowledge (give examples) of formal messaging formats/standards applicable to 5-Eyes and NATO messaging systems in Secret and TS/STRAP domains including how you ensured compliance. 15%
Boundary Protection; Demonstrate experience and knowledge, by giving examples of where you, in an Architecture role have identified suitable boundary protection products and led the integration into a system. 5%
DCCP; Provide your DCPP reference: RAR-753549993/Cyber Risk Profile High. Complete the SAQ using the SAQ Form, return to UKStratComDD-CyDR-DCPP@mod.gov.uk demonstrate completion evidence in response by providing the SAQ reference. 5%
Leadership ; Please provide a minimum of two examples which demonstrate your abilities to lead a team whilst in an Architectural role. 15%
Nice-to-have skills and experience: Stakeholder Management; Demonstrate your experience of stakeholder management skills, both internal and external, including how you identified, managed and briefed stakeholders. 5%
