Alexandra Bailey, Deputy Director, Strategic Partnering Programme, UK MOD; Andrea Hough,  Co Chair of Defence Suppliers Working SME Group and Chair of ATEC Engineering; and Anita Friend, Head of Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) have all aptly been confirmed as keynote speakers on International Women’s Day.

The UK’s premier defence procurement event – organised by BiP Solutions – is taking place at Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre on May 5.

Held across a single day, the event offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with key personnel and organisations responsible for setting strategy and operationally delivering an annual budget of over £19bn.

The keynote area is one of the focal points of DPRTE, providing visitors with a rare opportunity to hear from those who are actively setting and delivering the direction of the UK’s defence procurement and supply chain strategy.

During the day, high-profile speakers will present on a range of core topics which are defining the future of defence procurement.

Andrea Hough recently contributed one of the forewords to the MOD’s Defence SME Action Plan, outlining its ambitions to improve its relationship with Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), focusing on procurement models and how best to support innovation and exports for UK suppliers. DPRTE visitors can expect to hear more from Andrea on how the Plan will be delivered.
