BAE Systems Inc. has named Lisa Hand as Vice President and General Manager for the company’s Integrated Defense Solutions business.

In this role, she leads an organisation of more than 2,600 employees across the United States and internationally, who provide engineering, integration, and sustainment services to enhance customers’ mission effectiveness.

For the past 13 years, Hand has held a number of roles of increasing seniority at BAE Systems. She most recently served as business unit lead for Integrated Defense Solutions’ Mission Solutions, where she provided leadership for the Navy’s Trident II Strategic Weapons System and AEGIS Combat Systems programs, among other mission solution programs.

Her management expertise extends across a portfolio of combat systems capabilities including system of systems engineering, digital and model-based systems engineering, integration, cybersecurity, test and evaluation, operations, and maintenance and logistics.

Hand earned bachelor degrees in political science and history from Illinois State University. She also completed the Advanced Leadership Program through INSEAD graduate business school.

Integrated Defense Solutions business is part of BAE Systems Inc.’s Intelligence & Security sector, which delivers a broad range of services and solutions enabling militaries and governments to successfully carryout their missions. The company provides large-scale systems engineering, integration, and sustainment services across air, land, sea, space, and cyber domains.
