The agenda for the US DoD Engagement Zone at Defence Procurement, Research, Technology & Exportability (DPRTE) 2019, has been revealed.
Taking place at Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre on 28 March, DPRTE 2019 is the UK’s premier defence procurement event and brings together buyers, suppliers and defence thought leaders in an engaging environment where they can network and discuss the latest market developments and opportunities.
The event will host five unique Knowledge Transfer Zones, which are designed specifically to enhance the knowledge and skills of all attendees, both buyers and suppliers, who are engaged within the defence acquisition supply chain.
The US DoD Engagement Zone will see representatives from the US Department of Defense (DoD) will be on hand at to provide advice and guidance on how to access the wealth of opportunities available within the world’s largest defence procurement marketplace through a range of training sessions and one-to-one meetings.
The agenda for the zone has now been announced and will feature a wide range of insightful topics including The Foreign Comparative Test Program – the History, the Process and the Future; Other Transactional Authorities – a new age in defence procurement for prototyping and follow-on acquisition; US Army / Navy Requirements and how best to present your technology; Who we are, what we do and how to engage effectively with us; and finally Protecting Intellectual Property, ITAR and the US Market.
There will also be case studies from Tony White, Chief Technology Officer, Ultra Electronics; Andrew Wilson, President, JGW International and Stuart Taylor, President, Stucan Solutions.
The US defence market is the largest in the world with a proposed national defence procurement budget of over $686 billion for the forthcoming financial year.
