Sig Sauer has won a ten-year, $580m contract to supply the US Army with a new handgun system designed to replace the service branch’s M9 pistol. Army Contracting Command received nine proposals for the Modular Handgun System contract and expects work to conclude in January 2027. The firm-fixed-price contract also covers ammunition and accessories.
