4. Description: The awarding authority provide a joint Workforce Development Team service for the whole Social Care Sector within specified geographical boundaries. The team provide learning and development opportunities to the Social Care Sector in Blaenau Gwent and Caerphilly.
The awarding authority is seeking to enter into a contract for the provision of its requirements on the topic of Child Car Seat Safety.
The training requirement you are invited to tender for is aimed at Social Workers working in Children?s services and Child Care Support Workers.
The aim of this course is to deliver the following learning outcomes:
Regulations/legislation governing the use of child car seats.
Knowing the vehicle and directives relating to care manufacturers and their impact on Child Safety.
Knowing the correct, safe and secure installation of car seats into vehicles which are used for work purposes.
Knowing how to assess the need and select a suitable car seat.
Undertaking a pre use inspection of the car seat before it is used.
It?s anticipated that the contract will comprise of a minimum of one session and a maximum of four sessions to be delivered between February 2017 and March 2018. Each session?s duration is for half a day.
