Description: The Anthrax Vaccine manufacturing process requires the use of a class III micro biological safety cabinet for several processes which require the handling of large volumes of Bacillus anthracis. The current equipment has been in place for approx. 15 years and is coming to the end of its usable life.
The primary objective is for the equipment to protect the user from the organism being handled.
It is also a requirement that the cabinet should be able to maintain a Grade A environment against a Grade C background when not in use.
The Cabinet should be equipped with pass boxes which allow items to be passed into the cabinet. The pass boxes should be able to maintain a Grade B environment against the Grade C background when not in use.
