The US State Department has approved the UK’s request to buy US$1bn in General Atomics-built Predator B remotely piloted aircraft and related support under a Foreign Military Sales agreement. The UK Government asked to procure up to 26 Predator B drones, 12 ground control stations, 25 multi-spectral targeting systems and 25 AN/APY-8 Lynx IIe Block 20A synthetic aperture radar and ground moving target indicators.
