Summary of Requirements / Description of Work: Armoured military vehicles. Armoured military vehicles. Mechanised Infantry Vehicle (MIV): As part of Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S), a trading entity of the Ministry of Defence, has a potential future requirement for an 8×8 Mechanised Infantry Vehicles. The variants under considerations are (but not limited to) Infantry Carrier Vehicle (ICV) (also known as Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC)), Command and Control (C2), Ambulance and Equipment Support (Repair). In order to inform the Acquisition Strategy, the MIV team is issuing a Preliminary Market Engagement (PME) questionnaire. The process for completing and submitting the PME is detailed at Section 1 (Overview) to it and potential respondents should read and familiarise themselves with this section first, prior to completing their responses. Responses are required by no later than 10:00, Tuesday 22 November 2016 in order to be considered for the assessment of the acquisition strategy. Issue of the PME and participation thereof is solely on a non-commitment basis.
This PME exercise is not a launch of a formal procurement procedure, nor does it represent a commitment by the Authority to launch any formal procurement procedure.
