Section II: Contract Details
2.1 Title: Provision of an Orkney Volume Tourism Management Study
2.2 Description of the goods or services required: Orkney Islands Council, in partnership with Highlands and Islands Enterprise seeks to commission a consultancy report that will assess the factors that might impact on the islands’ valuable tourism offer as visitor numbers continue to increase. The study findings will seek to inform a future volume tourism destination management framework that recognises the impacts and sustainable economic opportunities associated with increasing visitor numbers. 2.4 Total quantity or scope of tender: It is intended that the primary research will be completed no later than 31 December 2016 with a final report received early 2017. Consultants would be expected to attend an initial inception meeting with OIC and HIE and also provide a presentation of the draft report.Finalised project plan timescales will be agreed with the Council and HIE upon appointment of the successful bidder. Bidders should provide an inclusive price, which must include all costs, including your day rate, overall fee and detail any expenses including travel and accommodation all within the total cost. Bidders should note that the budget range for this consultancy is within a range of £20,000 and £30,000 exclusive of VAT. Bids that exceed the budget will not be considered.
