Raytheon has secured a potential $1bn contract to build an early warning radar system for integration into Qatar’s air and missile defence capability. US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center in Massachusetts has awarded the sole-source contract as part of a foreign military sales deal between the US and Qatar.  


Airbus Helicopters has received an order to upgrade 26 German military CH-53 heavy transport helicopters. The refit order has been awarded by the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) and seeks to ensure the helicopter fleet remains operational until 2030 and beyond.
