Short description of the contract or purchase(s):
It is the University’s intention to invite contractors to tender for planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance relating to campus wide gas boilers and gas appliances, generally as follows:
Medium Temperature Hot Water Gas Fired Boilers;
Commercial Gas Fired Boilers;
Domestic Gas Fired Boilers;
Gas Fired Hot Water Heaters;
Gas Fired Radiant Heaters;
Gas Fired Air Handling Units.
Effective planned maintenance is required to ensure that the University remains compliant with statutory legislation and plant remains efficient and operational with minimal breakdowns and subsequent disruption to business continuity. Reactive maintenance is required so that when breakdowns do occur they can be attended to and rectified as effectively as possible. A 24 hour, 7 day, 365 day emergency call out facility with a minimum 4 hour response time is also required as part of this contract.
The term of the contract shall be a maximum of 4 years commencing on the 1.8.2017. The contract shall be reviewed after 2 years and if performance is satisfactory shall then continue for up to a further 1 year and may at the discretion of Loughborough University continue for up to an additional 1 year. Satisfactory performance shall be demonstrated by achieving compliance and by achieving the KPI targets.
