4. Description: The Awarding Authority is looking for suitably qualified buyer?s agent/surveyor to help in the purchase of approx. 50 residential properties primarily in the Specified location. The Awarding Authority is seeking to appoint up to three buyers agents/surveyors to identify and assess properties and oversee works to help grow Brent?s portfolio primarily but not exclusively in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire. B-RENT is the working title/name of the London Borough of Brent?s new private rented sector landlord. B-Rent has been set up by the Awarding Authority to purchase, own and manage a portfolio of properties circa. three hundred units. B-RENT is an asset owning landlord letting properties at local housing allowance rates. B-RENT has a nominations agreement with Awarding Authority through which 100% of tenants will be nominated by LB Brent?s housing needs service. The Awarding Authority has a track record of nominating to the private rented sector and B-Rent will be an additional private rented sector landlord to whom it can discharge its homelessness duties. The Awarding Authority currently owns or is in the process of purchase through conveyancing fifty residential units and will complete its portfolio within two year. The homes will be located in two management areas: Brent (portfolio ambition 120 units) and West London (portfolio ambition 30 units), and The Home Counties (portfolio ambition 150 units)
