General Atomics has received a potential ten-year, $532m contract modification to build, produce, test, inspect and facilitate the checkout process for the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System aboard the US Navy’s CVN 80 aircraft carrier. This modification exercises an option in a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract and covers installation work, repairs, drawing changes, technical data and checkout spares.
