India’s Ministry of Defence has ordered 158,000 ballistic helmets for the Indian Army from MKU, a defence company based in the northern city of Kanpur. Delivery will start in August 2017 and be completed by the end of 2019. Signed in late December 2016, the deal is for 100,000 standard helmets with an additional 58,000 units to be fitted with integrated radio headphones for unit commanders.
