4. Description: Heating equipment. Lighting systems. Heating materials. Heating works. Electrical installation work of heating and other electrical building-equipment. Ceiling lights. Domestic lights. Fluorescent lights. You are to provide a single tender return cost for the following three items.

1. Replacement LED lighting.

2. Rointe heaters.

3. Herschel infrared panel heaters.

Tenderers will be asked to produce a breakdown of the three costs for heating systems when the two lowest tender are called in for scrutiny.

You are not to submit any additional information with your tender returns as you will be disqualified.

The buildings are of single storey constructed of timber or brick construction. There are no wiring diagrams for these buildings. These buildings are not manned full time and operate mainly twice weekly in the evenings between 7pm and 9pm. During parade evenings lighting must be functional, areas cleared from materials and left safe. You can arrange at a local level for keys to the front door, internal doors and gate keys/codes, also storage of new lighting for the duration of the works.

You are to make contact with the personnel concerned on the list supplied and arrange access to view the existing lighting and heating within the building to prepare the tender price.

Other Information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.The specification documentation will be released to interested parties 12:00 – 13th January 2017.

13. Description of Amendment / Addition: The two heating systems specified are alternative types, only one will be specified after tenders are received. If you are the successful tenderer you may offer alternative infra-red systems suitable for the buildings, this does not mean we will change from the original as specified.

All light fittings are to be itemised per unit.

All heaters are to be itemised per unit.

The award of the tender will only be subject to allocated funding.

Both heating systems which ever one is chosen are to be controlled by a central 24/7 hr timer.
