4. Description: Parking lot construction work. Control, safety or signalling equipment for parking facilities. Installation services of parking meter equipment. Car park control equipment. Car park building construction work. This project involves the replacement of existing car parking control arrangements and associated works at Yeatman Hospital, Hospital Lane, Sherborne, Dorset DT9 3JU for Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust.
Generally the works are to be carried out on a ‘Live’ estate and shall therefore need to be carried out ‘out of normal working hours’.
Certain aspects of the required works may be completed in ‘normal working hours’ by prior arrangement with the Trust.
The general construction work within this project involves the following:
? Removal of the existing upper and lower car park entrance and exit barrier systems, associated dynamic spaces signage, interconnecting cabling and internal car parking payment token dispenser.
? Provision of a ticket based “Pay on Foot” payment system including entrance and exit barriers with ticket dispensers and readers to serve both the upper and lower car park and to include new dynamic car park signage located at the Junction of Hospital Lane and Back Lane.
? Provision of new low voltage power distribution equipment and small power supplies to serve the new equipment.
? Provision of all builders works and ground works associated with the above and as detailed on the drawings available in the tender documents.
? Provision of line painting to make good and as detailed on the drawings available in the tender documents.
The works are within an existing live Estate and as such all facilities serving other areas shall be fully operational throughout the works.
