4. Description: The Awarding Authority intends to establish a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) to procure a range of reactive maintenance works and services across its portfolio of properties in specified location. Reactive maintenance works and services are those which comprise day to day emergency repairs together with short term items to rectify immediate problems. These are for ad hoc works that are outside of our existing repairs contracts that we have in place.
The anticipated period of the DPS will run from the date of signing of the earliest DPS Agreement (likely to be 30 January 2017), for 2 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years.
The contract will include major and minor construction works for a range of residential and care buildings. Once successful contractors are allocated against each lot, we will then operate on a quick quote basis, on Sell2Wales for each package of work, and only contractors within that list will be approached to quote.
The works and services under the DPS will include:

CCTV; Maintenance and Installation
Door entry
Guard security and target hardening
Locksmiths
Automatic doors
Windows installation, maintenance and servicing
Doors, internal and external; installation and maintenance
Garage doors
Television aerials and satellite dishes
Generators
Roofing installation
Roofing repair and maintenance
Rainwater guttering installation
Rainwater guttering repair and maintenance
Pest control
Waste management
Asbestos removal
Aids and adaptations installation
Aids and adaptations maintenance and servicing
Landscaping
Hard landscaping; paths and driveways
Gardening and general grounds maintenance works
Tree inspection
Tree management works and surgery
Fencing and hard landscaping
Damp proofing
Cavity wall extraction
External wall insulation

Bathrooms supply and fit

It is the Awarding Authority intention that the DPS be divided into separate lots for each of the above categories of works and services.

9. Estimated value of requirement: The nature of the works means that it is not possible to provide any accurate estimate of spend over the life of the DPS. For indicative purposes only the Awarding Authority?s reactive maintenance budget against all areas covered by the DPS for the financial year 2016/17 excluding VAT, budget is #1,900,000 for all reactive repairs. Of which these ad hoc repairs make up a proportion of that expenditure.
