The purpose of this Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to inform suppliers that the Authority is holding an early stage Industry Day in respect of the Authority’s requirement for bulk marine, bulk aviation and limited ground fuels for UK Armed Forces to be delivered to various locations around the UK and worldwide. Destinations are likely to include (but are not limited to) the Ascension Island, the Falkland Islands, Cyprus, and at UK based Navy Oil Fuel Depots. Please note the procurement of fuel is carried out under separate arrangements.
The aim of this Industry Day is to provide an overview of the Authority’s requirement and for Industry engagement to aid the Authority’s understanding of what is available within the market place in relation to the requirement. The Authority wishes to engage with a wide range of potential providers including but not limited to:
— Fuel Suppliers.
— Vessel Owners.
— Refineries.
— Service Providers.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
This requirement has been previously met by charter of a vessel; however, the Authority is aware that there are potentially other options to deliver the requirement and would to explore with industry as many of these as possible. The project team seeks to meet this requirement through a competitive tender process starting in 2017; following a period of extensive market engagement to fully understand the options available. The project has an anticipated value between 20-50 000 000 GBP depending on its duration. Following the Industry Day the Authority intends to issue a post industry day questionnaire to further aid its understanding. The Industry Day is on 14.12.2016 at the Defence Academy, Shrivenham, Swindon, SN6 8LA. Suppliers will be limited to 2 reps. Please book by 16/12/16 using the contact details provided on this notice and provide: Company Name, single point of contact and a list of Industry day attendees including full names, nationality and role within the company.
