The project forms part of a wider programme of capital investment to improve the security, safeguarding, resilience and operational efficiency of one of Mid Wales” leading arts and cultural venues.

CCTV Requirements
The contractor shall design an integrated IP CCTV system.
The initial feasibility study indicates a requirement for approximately:
14 cameras
6 internal cameras
8 external cameras
32-channel Network Video Recorder
Minimum 31-day recording capacity
Tenderers should undertake their own survey and recommend the optimum number, location and specification of cameras to provide comprehensive coverage.
The system should include:
HD IP cameras
Low-light capability
Wide Dynamic Range
Infrared illumination where required
Weatherproof external cameras
Vandal resistant housings where appropriate
Secure remote viewing
User permissions
Audit logging
Motion detection
Privacy masking
Cyber-secure configuration
The recorder should have spare capacity to accommodate future expansion.
Electronic Access Control
The contractor shall design a fully managed electronic access control system.
The theatre anticipates approximately:
38 controlled doors
37 read-in / push-to-exit doors
1 read-in / read-out door with possible video link ( Stage Door)
Approximately 12 doors requiring keyswitch override
Approximately 200 user credentials
Rather than prescribing a single technical solution, the contractor should recommend the most appropriate technology for each location.
Solutions may include:
Hardwired networked door controllers
Battery-operated intelligent handles (if Required)
Combination solutions
provided they operate within a single integrated management platform.
The system should include:
Access groups
Time schedules
Event logs
Lost card management
Visitor permissions
Door monitoring

A detailed Door Schedule will be provided as part of the tender documents.
Tenderers should review each opening and recommend the most appropriate solution based upon:
