Type 45 In-Service Support
The Warship Support Team, which is part of the UK Ministry of Defence (‘MOD’) intends to place a contract with BAE Systems Surface Ships Limited (the ‘Company’) for the continued provision of in-service support to T45 as well as undertake essential activities to enable an assured transition to the MOD’s common support model (‘CSM’), whilst maintaining operational availability of the vessels (the ‘Contract’). The Contract has an estimated value of 61 000 000 GBP and duration of 12 months with options to extend for a further 2 x 6 months.
The Company is the only provider that holds the relevant information and knowledge, has the supply chain information and holds the physical assets which will need to be handed back to the MOD as part of the CSM. The Company is also the only provider which holds the technical knowledge to fulfil the equipment management role.
