II.1.4) Short Description: Cambridgeshire County Council is inviting tenders for the delivery of Extra Care and Housing Related Support at Poppyfields, St Neots. Extra care housing is defined as specialist accommodation designed to maximise the independence of older people by providing a safe, secure and stimulating environment. Service users retain the independence of having their own home and at the same time benefit from the availability of around the clock social care and housing support. The care and support service is expected to enable service users to live independently and to maximise the their capacity to carry out tasks themselves.
The successful provider shall deliver 203 core care hours per week to be split between 140 core daytime hours and 63 (waking) night hours. Additional hours will be deployed in a way that reflects the needs of individuals.
