Councillors have given the nod to early plans for 142 new homes in Rowlands Gill, but there are worries it could overload the sewage systemPlans for a new housing estate in Gateshead have been given the green light – despite fears over the local sewage system.Planning bosses gave outline permission for Avant Homes’ estate on Collingdon Road, Rowlands Gill , which will see 142 properties built.More detailed designs will now need to be submitted for further approval.
