The Subcontract Scope is for the supply and installation of approximately 50No. fire doors (FD60), including frames and ironmongery, excluding access control which is supplied and installed by Others (Fujitsu), in the following areas:
The Dynamic Bag Store (DBS): This is a back of house environment, with no interaction with Heathrow staff.
Basement Level A0: This is a back of house environment, with no interaction with Heathrow staff.
Manuel Encoding Station (Level A0): This is a back of house environment, with no interaction with Heathrow staff.
Apron Level 00: This is a back of house environment, with no interaction with Heathrow staff.
Link Bridge (Levels 5-10): This is a back of house environment, with no interaction with Heathrow staff.
Refurbished Room at Level 10: This is a back of house environment, but the corridor will used by Heathrow staff. The Contractor (Costain) will ensure the area is segregated.
Balcony Area (Level 20): This is a back of house environment, with no interaction with Heathrow staff.
Level 25 – OOG: This is a back of house airside environment, with no interaction with Heathrow staff.
Where required, the Subcontractor will coordinate with the access control systems subcontractor & Lead Designer/Architects who will develop the detailed design, and carry out RIBA Stage 5 coordination with Others as necessary to ensure the subcontract works are compliant and carried out in accordance with the programme requirements.
The Subcontractor is not responsible for design.

About the buyer’s selection process:
Supplier selection will be based a Value Scorecard assessment toolkit.
The Value Scorecard approach will facilitate the Contractor’s (Costain’s) evaluation to understand the suitability of the tendering subcontractors using variable weightings for categories, such as Technical capability, Heath & Safety, Quality, Environmental and Sustainability, People, Commercial, and Price.
All subcontractors will be required to undergo Costain Supplier Onboarding (Business Assurance), and due diligence checks as a precondition to any resultant selection for a subcontract award.
About the buyer:
Costain (the Contractor) have secured the Framework with Heathrow as a Tier 1 Delivery Partner (Main Contractor) to deliver parts of H7 Main Project Partner (MPP) and Asset Replacement Project (ARP) programmes.
This opportunity relates to the MPP programme and specifically the construction of the new building that will house the new baggage system.
