II.2.4) Description of the procurement
This contract is for the provision of a new data centre within the existing SPS Fauldhouse Stores. It incorporates a self contained unit with all necessary supporting infrastructure within one of the existing storage work shed, which will become a digital services hub. New cooling plant will be installed within the adjacent external courtyard with appropriate new access arrangements also part of the scope. The area itself will contain five new server cabinets with future proofing area for an additional sixth. The requirement is driven by the pending closure of Scottish Government Saughton house facility where we have current facility to support this service.
