West Yorkshire Police (WYP) have their own Transport Department which undertakes servicing and repairs to police vehicles including replacing worn and punctured tyres.
Suppliers must be able to supply a range of commercially available tyres on a ‘supply only’ basis to the main stores based in Wakefield and from time to time to any location within the West Yorkshire boundary.
Suppliers should be aware that WYP have an existing contract with Goodyear who provide WYP with Goodyear brand tyres.
To complement the existing Goodyear contract, Suppliers will be required to provide a range of various brand tyres to West Yorkshire Police to meet ad-hoc requirements.
Volumes and brands will vary however the estimated contract value based on historic purchase data is anticipated to equate to around one hundred and fifty thousand pounds per annum (£150,000 p/a).

Engagement process description
Two online sessions for interested Suppliers are being held via Microsoft Teams on:
10:00am – 11:00am Wednesday 22nd April 2026
14:30pm – 15:30pm Wednesday 22nd April 2026
The sessions will provide an overview of the requirements of the Framework, some guidance for Suppliers in registering with the Central Digital Platform and the Bluelight e-tendering portal, and a short guide to understanding the requirements of the tender submission.
There will also be an opportunity for Suppliers to raise questions.
