4. Description: STDL is the owner of a large industrial estate (in excess of 2000acres) on the banks of the TEES and is seeking to appoint a Management Contractor to manage a variety of contract works packages as and when deemed required including but not limited to:
– Carrying repairs to approximately 40 substations including roof replacement and repairs to internal areas NOTE STDL has its own HV department which will manage safe electrical access.
– Repairs to metal clad buildings including removing, making safe and replacement of roof and wall sheeting.
– Repairs to existing roads and Armco barrier
– Large pothole repairs to site roads
– Removal of waste in accordance with statutory requirements including oils, asbestos and fly tipped materials.
– Repairs to external perimeter fencing
– Establishing temporary accommodation for permanent site staff
– Carrying internal repairs to building mechanical and electrical systems
– Repairs and servicing to roller doors
– Testing for any lead paint on existing structures and removing the same and repainting structures.
– Appointing and managing specialist contractors to inspect and repair assets
– Repair’s cleaning and vacuum jetting to culverts across the estate
– Dredging and clearing site waterways on a periodic basis
– General repairs to site buildings as and when required.
– Appointing and managing specialists that may be required to manage the estate e.g., Legionella, asbestos, structural surveys, and designs.
– Treatment of invasive species
– Carrying out urgent safety repairs which may involve weekend or extended working.
– Providing the contractors main site welfare facilities and any satellite facilities that may be required for works.
– Any other works that may be required
