About the work
Early market engagement
Who the specialist will work with Civilian, Military and contractors within the MOD and wider Defence industry.
What the specialist will work on Working with the Project Team (PT) and the MM Contractor to develop and finalise the system design.
Liaise with the PT, MM Contractor and external stakeholders throughout the Delivery Phase (DP) until Initial Operating Capability (IOC) is achieved.
Report to the Project Lead on progress and report risks and issues appropriately.
Lead the identification of appropriate boundary protection products required for MM and liaise with the MM Contractor to ensure successful integration.
Act as the MM PT lead during design reviews and work with the MM Contractor to develop system design documentation to enable system accreditation.
Working arrangements Hybrid working with the Ministry of Defence in Corsham as a base location, with potential of a minimum of two days home working. Some travel to other MOD sites as required. Locations can be provided at a higher classification.
Security clearance DV Clearance required
Must be in place and valid for the duration of the contract. The Authority will not sponsor any clearance.

Skills and experience
Buyers will use the essential and nice-to-have skills and experience to help them evaluate suppliers’ technical competence.
Essential skills and experience
Knowledge and understanding of formal messaging systems and messaging formats including ACP127 and DOI-103 – 25%
Experience of working on IT projects in the SECRET and TOP SECRET security domains, specifically in the demonstration and manufacture stages of the project lifecycle – 20%
Experience of producing, reviewing and liaising with Contractors to develop design documentation including high level and low level designs and system architecture documents – 20%
Knowledge of applicable standards and policies including but not limited to; JSP 604 and JSP 440 – 15%
Experience of boundary protection capabilities, specifically experience in identifying suitable products and knowledge of the requirements for integrating boundary protection capabilities within a wider system – 10%
Stakeholder management skills (internal and external), experience of identifying and managing stakeholders and briefing stakeholders accordingly on project progress – 5%
