Single provider included the following as core package:
1) occupational health: pre-employment health screening, physiological therapy service, medical fitness standards, health surveillance, lifestyle health assessments, management referrals;
2) MSK: telephone triage, remote and face to face treatment, functional restoration programme for complex cases, training – manual handling and body mechanics;
3) day one absence reporting;
4) drug and alcohol testing;
5) employee assistance programme;
6) access to flu vaccinations;
7) eye care vouchers.
Mental health and MSK issues account for over 60 % of absence and spend we need dedicated psychological services including counselling and CBT and specialist MSK physiotherapy services with clinically trained and practicing therapists around NWL locations. They are approx 3 100 employees at NWL. Regarding health surveillance approx 1 700 employees North, 540 Essex and 500 Suffolk. Award will be 2-year contract with option for 36-month extension.

Musculoskeletal rehabilitation services
Volumes are currently in the region of 300-400 referrals per year.
• telephone triage;
• remote and face to face treatment;
• functional restoration programme for complex cases;
• training – manual handling and body mechanics, incorporating fit for future health education;
• project support and close liaison with HR and H&S occupational health;
• pre-employment health checks – remote and face to face for those with role related medical fitness standards and health surveillance requirements;
• medical fitness standards;
• health surveillance;
• lifestyle health assessments;
• management referrals – current volumes of referrals are in the region of 40 per month.
Providing advice on absence management, rehabilitation, redeployment and ill health retirement, direct referrals to healthcare sch employee assistance programme volumes are based on 3 100 employees:
• telephone and face to face counselling;
• life management information;
• online chat facility.
