Short description of the contract or purchase(s): The EA wishes to improve its incident response capability by increasing our stock of temporary flood defences. These defences may be used in a variety of flooding incidents and will comprise an essential part of our response. We wish to establish a framework contract with a defence provider to supply our needs for the coming 5 years. We believe that it is likely that the temporary flood defence system will be comprised of either a metal panel barrier or an alternative system that will perform to the same standard and work effectively alongside our current holdings to protect the public.
