The government seeks interest from companies or consortiums to bid to enable regional airport to operate wide-bodied aircraft.
The government of Sri Lanka is seeking expressions of interest to develop one of the regional airports to enable the operation of wide-bodied aircraft. The project will be on a design, build, finance, operate, and transfer basis
Interested parties need to meet the following basic criteria for eligibility
An average annual turnover over of the immediate past 5 years to the value of at least USD 50 million (50,000,000) or equivalent in any other currency at the date of opening of EOI.
Have sufficient (at least equal to project cost) bank credit line facilities for the completion of the construction works as proof of credit.
Have an audited balance sheet with minimum USD 20 million (USD 20,000,000) of net assets for the latest financial year.

Submission of proposals is open to firms and joint ventures. In the case of joint ventures, all parties to the joint venture shall be jointly and severally liable for the entire work.
