A pipeline has been launched for Ministry of Defence (MOD) Industry Day for the procurement of Service Management for PICASSO (SM4P) Services (formerly F-ITSM).The contract start Date is 25 March 2025. Approach to market date is 19 April 2024.The MOD will be procuring this new ITSM Contract under the Competitive Negotiated Procedure under Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations (DSPCR).Following an early market engagement event in March 2023, the MOD will be holding a further industry day on the 19th April 2024 to provide further detail on the scope, ambitions, requirements, timeline and commercial considerations to inform suppliers responding to the subsequent Dynamic Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (DPQQ). During the event suppliers will have the opportunity to be briefed by the programme and senior management team and find out more about the SM4P capability and commercial construct.Suppliers interested in attending the 19th April 2024 industry day are invited to register their attendance via this link no later than Tuesday 16th April 2024.This will be an in-person event only. techUK will be assisting the MOD in running this event and the link provides further information regarding location, time, agenda, number of delegates allowed and further contact details regarding the industry day.Suppliers should note:- Following DPQQ submission and evaluation, the MOD will down-select a number of suppliers (minimum three) to go forward to Invitation to Negotiate (ITN) stage;- This PIN indicates the intent to start contracting from March 2025 which represents the commencement of any transition period;- The contract will be for three (3) years with up to an option of up to a further twelve (12) months, to a maximum of four (4) years; and- This PIN is to alert the market to this potential future requirement and is not a formal request for Expressions of Interest (EOI). A Contract Notice and DPQQ will be issued in due course to request EOIs which shall reference this PIN.This is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly.
