A pipeline has been launched for Supply Chain notice: FDIS – Boiler Replacements – FY2023/24 – Amey North Region.The contract start Date is 2 January 2024. Approach to market date is 22 December 2023.North Region – Northern England / Scotland / Northern IrelandBrief Scope of Works- Boiler removal and replacement including new flue- All existing and new condensate pipes are to be routed or rerouted to remain within the building fabric. Note: This may require boiler relocation- Boilers in bedroom are to be relocated- Three-way valve removal and replacement- Central heating pump and isolation valves replacement (heat only boilers)- Install / replace frost stat- Room thermostat removal and replacement with manual, digital control, if required- Installation of new TRVs and lockshield valves- Heating system to be fully drained and powerflushed- Installation of magnetic system filter- Introduction of a rust inhibitor- Electric / thermostatic shower replacement- Vented / unvented cylinder replacement – including insulation of associated exposed pipework and back up immersion replacement.Note:Services Provider is to allow in their boiler rate for three (3) evidenced attempts of access each to property. After which access difficulties must be escalated to Amey immediately after it occurs, and Amey will endeavour to deal with the problem.Amey have been tasked by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation through the Future Defence Infrastructure Service to deliver the Regional Accommodation Maintenance Service for the Central and North Regions.For Amey to accept any Expression of Interest it is ESSENTIAL that any subcontractor is:- willing to act as Main Contractor (essential requirement);- a member of Constructionline at GOLD LEVEL 3;- capable of working to MOD SFG20 (Pre-Planned Maintenance works only);- capable of working in a Building Information Management (BIM) Level 2 environment (where applicable);- compliant with DefStan 05-138 (required if you are likely to handle MoD Identifiable Information on your IT system);- willing to work with Amey to deliver Social Value to our Client.This is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly.
