Contractor to provide professional corporate event services to support the organisation and operation of a NCIA flagship event.
The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) is the provider of NATO-wide IT services and state-of-the-art command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities, helping NATO and its member countries communicate, and work together to fulfil their mission.
The Agency is on the frontline against cyber threats, protecting NATO’s networks to prevent debilitating attacks. Our experts provide capabilities and services that are critical to NATO’s ability to fulfil its core tasks of consultation, collective defence and crisis management. We achieve this by working in partnership with industry, academia and not-for-profit (NFP) organisations.
1. Project management
The Agency will manage the project using the PRINCE2 project management methodology. Under this methodology, the Project Executive (the NCI Agency) controls the project through a Project Board, which they chair.
The Service Provider shall establish a project management organisation for the purpose of performing and managing the efforts necessary to satisfactorily discharge his responsibilities under this contract. The Service Provider shall provide the necessary manpower and resources to conduct and support the management and administration of his operations in order to meet the overall objectives of the contract.
During project execution, the project shall be controlled in accordance with the contract and the approved Project Management and Delivery Plan. As part of the monitoring and control function, the Service Provider shall advise the NCI Agency at all times of potential implementation problems and schedule risks.
2. Scope For the scope of this upcoming opportunity, the Agency is seeking a Service Provider to provision professional corporate event services to support the successful organization and operation of the NCI Agency flagship event with defence and C4ISR industry.
NATO Edge is the current NCI Agency’s new flagship, technology-focused event for business and political leaders as well as NATO enterprise. The event combines the technology and business dimensions, highlighting how working together with industry and academic partners we can jointly provide technology and innovation to enhance and deliver NATO capabilities.
The Service Provider shall offer direct and comprehensive support to the Agency concerning the following services (to include but not limited to) in the areas of:
venue
production and logistics
audio-visual
communications and advertising
While the scope of this contract encompasses the organisation of the NCI Agency flagship event, the Agency may opt submitting requests to organise separate, mostly smaller corporate events. If and when such additional tasks would be requested, the Service Provider and Agency shall assess the scope of the respective option and applicable model.

opportunity for industry and academia to actively shape the discussions through a call for speakers
update on NCI Agency’s technology priorities, including presentations of upcoming business opportunities, and how to do business with the Agency
world-class workshops, NATO’s largest exhibition of technology and tech trends showcase, innovation challenges and pitch days that enable common understanding of complex C4ISR challenges
platform for dialogue with private sector, NFPs and NATO; facilitation of Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Government (B2G) contacts, special emphasis on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups
expanding innovation and technology ecosystem, with a view to increase suppliers and partners participation, attracting SMEs, Academia, innovation eco-systems and NFP entities
providing a sought after platform for NATO stakeholders to network and engage the private sector and NFP entities
complementing NATO Industry Forum and other relevant NATO fora, in Agency’s area of responsibility
