4. Description: This proposal forms part of Support Improvement Programme Intent 1 – Professionalise Support. It fills a current gap in the provision of externally recognised qualifications for Obsolescence Managers within the iLog Function. To ensure high quality standard of learning, the proposal indicates that training should be accredited to the International Institute of Obsolescence Management (IIOM) and be at IIOM Associate level. The course content is endorsed by the IIOM and includes successful completion of an examination and completion of project work, which is assessed by the supplier.
