Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service are looking to explore the market to identify training providers that are able to provide a range of facilities to support experiential learning.
Primarily we are looking for hot fire training venues that can support carbonaceous, gas and oil based scenarios for operational personal with a broad range of experience from Firefighter to Station Manager level. The venues must be able to offer exposure to domestic, industrial and commercial scenarios that include basements with a response ranging from two to four appliances. Additionally the facilities should be able to support the use of a range of fire fighting media including foam and provide access to working fixed installations such as dry risers. Access to larger transport based hazardous material scenarios would also be beneficial.
It is essential that the provider is able to supply a range of modern equipment to support the training including, but not limited to appliances, breathing apparatus sets, thermal imaging cameras and associated equipment to effectively deal with hazardous material incidents.
We intend to run the events over three days, the Service will provide its own qualified instructors however the provider should be able to facilitate full board and suitable on site accommodation for 30 to 40 people predominately during weekends.
