A defence authority has issued a tender for a portable gantry crane.
The portable gantry crane will be used for loading and unloading various types of cargo/machinery to lift and shift weight, equipment within a naval base.
The specifications of the crane is that:
it should be tri-adjustable, light weight and portable
all parts should be easily dismantled to use in more than one location
all parts should be constructed with durable heavy gauge high strength
it should have self-aligning I-beam support system to align against off-centre loads
it should have adjustable height, span and tread
it should have a maximum lifting capacity of 10 tons or more
it should have a maximum height of 14 feet or more an a maximum span of around 25 feet
it should have a electrical powered hoisting and travelling mechanism
it should have smooth lifting speed
it should have a smooth travel speed with and without load having smooth starting and stopping
the gantry crane should have the capability to move front and back
the hoisting mechanism should lift loads up and down and move left and right
the crane should be able to move on power from one place to another with load
the hoisting/lowering of load and travel of the crane should be controlled by pendent controller
wheel design and material will be of heavy duty
it should have an electrically powered travelling mechanism
it should have a 415 volt plus minus 10%, 3 phase, 50hz
all safety features should conform to international safety standard
