About the work
Early market engagement
Who the specialist will work with Civilian, Military and contractors within the Operational Service Management (OSM) Programme and SDO Reset Programme (which is providing the funding). Also, other stakeholders across Defence, including Service Management Integrated Technical Solutions (SMITS) Team which provides data collection and exploitation for the MOD Global Operations and Security Control Centre (GOSCC). Specifically, the specialist will work as part of a workstream within the OSM Tooling Project, part of the wider OSM Programme.
What the specialist will work on The specialist will provide Project Controls, supporting the Project Manager to deliver the move to adopt a pre-emptive posture for IT incident prevention, faster resolution and a significant uplift in our ability to ‘discover’ events taking place on MOD IT infrastructure. The specialist will produce/maintain key project artefacts, including a project schedule, risk/opportunity register, monthly progress reports and project risk/opportunity exploitation plans. The specialist will ensure project artefacts, particularly risk register, schedule and cost model, are reconciled, and integrate into Programme-wide artefacts
Working arrangements The team will be based at MoD Corsham but, due to COVID, most activity will be carried out remotely and the specialist will be expected to work remotely. There will be occasions when the specialist will need to visit Corsham, for collection/return of passes, laptops, etc. and for specific meetings/workshops.
Security clearance SC (as a minimum) must be in place prior to the contract starting due to the projects the specialist is required to work with. Clearances must remain valid for the duration of the contract.
