Address where the work will take place The individual will have significant travel to visit all the sites that cover the South Region on a regular basis to complete SCIDA outputs. About the work
Early market engagement
Who the specialist will work with The specialist will work with a variety of individuals whilst completing the role including civilian, military and contractors.
They will primarily report to the Defence Digital SCIDA Project team but will be supported by the regional Def Sites team in which they are based.
What the specialist will work on Delivery of the SCIDA function and its outputs in line with JSP 604 guidelines and Defence Digital processes –
Completion of Service Level 1 and Service Level 2 SCIDA audits.
Completion of ECR (Engineering Change Requests) at stages 3 and 5 delivery.
Completion of site infrastructure baselining
Working arrangements The taskings will take place at a variety of sites.
They will be carried out during standard working hours, 5 days a week and there will be no requirement to work weekends.
The individual will primarily report to the Defence Digital SCIDA Project team and be supported by the Def Sites team where they are based.
Security clearance SC clearance must be in place prior to the contract starting due to the projects the individual is required to work with.

Additional terms and conditions An Intermediary Regulations 35 Assessment has been carried out using the HRMC Check Employment Status For Tax (CEST). This requirement falls outside, no further action required.
A DCCP risk assessment has been carried out and this requirement is low risk ref RAR-YZTS3H4B.
Skills and experience
Buyers will use the essential and nice-to-have skills and experience to help them evaluate suppliers’ technical competence.
Essential skills and experience
Atkins SCIDA qualification or evidence of two years employment as a SCIDA within the last five years. 30%
Experience delivering ICT Systems into complex environments and with other teams (e.g. Networks). 15%
Provide evidence and examples of successful delivery of SCIDA services for complex ICT projects within challenging multi-stakeholder environments. 20%
Knowledge of security architecture required in compartmented certified environments; including policies and constraints associated with ICT Systems and working knowledge and evidence of using MoD JSP’s 440 and 604. 15%
Nice-to-have skills and experience
Provide evidence of a minimum 5 years’ experience working in an elelectrical/electronic technical/networking engineering role and a minimum qualification at NVQ level 4 or equivalent in either field. 20%
Provide evidence of carrying out SCIDA audits and baselining sites. 20%
Evidence of IET Electrical Wiring Regulations training. 20%
Proven experience working in ICT Transition Planning and Support environments. Evidence of ability to develop/maintain plans for migration of ICT Systems and undertake formal quality reviews of technical/documentation. 20%
Experience of working on ICT Systems in compartmented certified environments. Demonstrable experience in classified domains and Defence Community. 10%
Experience of IT Service Management Tooling Remedy. 20%
