Summary of Requirements / Description of Work: Engineering design services. The MOD GPFF/Type 31 Project Team is potentially seeking one or more Customer Friends to provide independent, specialist engineering support for both Naval Platform Design and Maritime Combat Systems including integration, across the full spectrum of Customer roles, including but not limited to:
? Systems Engineering including development of requirements and acceptance criteria, system interfaces and whole ship specification;
? Naval Engineering including Naval Architecture, Combat Systems, Marine Engineering, survivability, security accreditation, safety management and Whole Ship integration.
? Technical support to the exploration of the design space; design trades; specification and acceptance; and in support of cost and schedule forecasting, and associated risk management.
Customer Friend contractors will be required to cooperate with other Customer Friend contractors in order to work as a cohesive team.
