A detailed planning application has been submitted for a new private rented sector (PRS) build-to-rent development on the former Yorkshire Post site in Leeds.The scheme will provide 237 rental apartments for Grainger, the UK’s largest specialist residential landlord.Designed by architects’ practice The Harris Partnership on behalf of Sterling Investments, a distinctive residential tower is envisaged stepping from 11 to 18 storeys as it approaches the River Aire.Aimed at young professionals in the city, the development will provide 121 two-bedroom and 116 one-bedroom apartments beneath a bronze-clad, rooftop residents lounge, with restaurant and bar provided at the ground floor and basement parking for 72 vehicle and 140 cycle spaces.The application has been supported by planning consultancy Quod with Fox Lloyd Jones acting as development manager on the scheme.
