The current contract for Road transport services in London is projected to end on 14/5/2017 and may be available for re-tender.The current contract for Road transport services in London included the provision of taxi services to meet the following passenger transport services requirements:(A) Transportation of children and young people with special education needs and/or disabilities who have been assessed as needing transport to and from school/college.(B) Transportation of vulnerable adults to day centres and/or other establishments.(C) Transportation of children and young people who are looked after children or assessed as children In need. The majority of these children and young people will have significant disability and/or additional needs that impact upon their daily lives. The service may also be required to support families experiencing a range of difficulties.(D) Other ad hoc transportation requirements that may be required by the contracting authority during the term of the Framework Agreement.The contracting authority seeks to include a sufficient number of contractors on its Framework Agreement so as to ensure that there is sufficient capacity to meet the contracting authority’s transport needs.The aim of the procurement is to put a Framework Agreement in place to provide the transport services described above. In order to do this, tenders are invited for the following Lots:Lot 1: Vehicles up to 8 passengers for the transportation of children and/or young people with special education needs and/or disabilities and/or vulnerable adults.Lot 2: Vehicles up to 8 passengers (wheelchair accessible) for the transportation of children and/or young people with special education needs and/or disabilities and/or vulnerable adults.Lot 3: Vehicles over 8 passengers for the transportation of children and/or young people with special education needs and/or disabilities and/or vulnerable adults.Lot 4: Vehicles over 8 passengers (wheelchair accessible) for the transportation of children and/or young people with special education needs and/or disabilities and/or vulnerable adults.Lot 5: Standard taxi services.The contracting authority intends to place orders for the services described in Lots 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 soon after the Framework Agreement has been established. Further details of these Lots are set out in Annex B of this Notice. Full details of how the Framework Agreement will operate will be contained in the invitation to tender.
